JWT and its client Ford wasted no time in turning the screws on Toyota when the news emerged last week that the Ford Ranger had knocked off the 32-year reign of the Hilux as NZ’s top-selling ute.

Toyota Hilux has long proclaimed itself “NZ’s best-selling ute” but in 2014 Ford sold 6345 Rangers in NZ, outselling the Hilux by560 vehicles.

JWT immediately created a suitably pointed print ad and ran it in the Weekend Herald, Sunday Star-Times, Dominion Post, Christchurch Press, Waikato Times and Otago Daily Times.
