Colenso BBDO senior art director Brett Colliver will lead AWARD School Auckland’s 12-week part time course in July. The 2015 course has now released the application brief for NZ creatives (scroll down for details).

As a pre-eminent training programme for aspiring creatives, copywriters and art directors in Australia and New Zealand, AWARD School receives around 650 applications across both countries each year, and follows a strict selection process based on demonstrated creative potential.

The school is now accepting applications until Friday 19 June – successful applicants will be informed by mid-July for a 20Monday July start.

Brett Colliver started his career as an AWARD School student, and has since won six Cannes Lions, as well as winning the inaugural Creative of the Year title at the 2014 AWARD Awards.

AWARD School students will also be guided by local experts, who will share their learnings and insights in weekly talks and tutorials.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody considering a creative career,” says Sydney-based AWARD chair Mark Harricks (an Aussie who was CD at Clemenger BBDO Wellington for seven years to 2008). “I will say from experience that it is not an easy course – but it is one of the best ways to challenge, broaden and prepare your creative thinking for the demands of agency life.

“We are looking for enthusiasm, drive, and most importantly, creative potential. Good luck.”

The course costs A$1210 (NZ$1309).
