Yahoo NZ has today announced a new partnership with online shopping website Lasoo.co.nz, which aims to give Yahoo users the opportunity to shop and browse online for New Zealand’s most reliable retail brands, all within the Yahoo Shopping channel.

“With the countdown already on for the busy Christmas season, we’re excited to be partnering with Lasoo to provide our users access to some of the best online shopping deals going,” said Yahoo NZ general manager sales Louis Niven.

“Not only will our users be able to check their mail and get the latest news and entertainment via Yahoo, they’ll now also be able to shop online and compare products and prices from great brands all in the one place, saving valuable time and money.”

Lasoo is one of New Zealand’s largest online shopping websites which, in the past four months, has experienced more than 40,000 catalogue opens, more than 300,000 products views, more than 25,000 store location requests and over 10,000 ‘Buy Nows’.

“A recent Nielsen study found that 88% of Australian consumers used “webrooming” as a shopping strategy – that is researching online before going to a physical store to purchase,” says Reachmedia and Lasoo ceo Greg Radford.

“With similar trends seen in New Zealand, Lasoo has worked closely with many of the nation’s leading retailers to develop a centralised platform where consumers can conduct their research before making a purchase online or heading in store.

“By partnering with Yahoo, one of New Zealand’s largest online brands, we see a great opportunity to take this platform to even more Kiwis.”

Featuring retailers from both New Zealand and Australia, Lasoo includes 300,000 offers from The Warehouse, Bunnings, Countdown, Animates, Mighty Ape, Yoobee, NZ Sale, Dick Smith, Warehouse Stationery, Stevens, Whitcoulls, Mitre10 Mega, Postie, among others.
