The NZ public relations sector is setting up a debrief on the Rio Olympics marketing campaign featuring the New Zealand Olympic Committee, Getty Images and ANZ. Rio was a triumph for the NZ team – but this came amid accusations of corruption against the Brazilian government, doping bans, the Zika virus; pollution and poor venue preparations.

“So how did the New Zealand Olympic Committee navigate through these and come back from the Games with a record medal haul and New Zealand’s reputation enhanced?” asks PRINZ Northern Region chair Brian Finn

“Come and get all the insights into the NZOC’s marketing and communications campaign and what they learned along the way,” he says.

“You will also hear about how ANZ integrated their campaign to amplify the New Zealand team’s activity and the Olympic Games’ official photo agency Getty Images on how imagery is a major driver and channel for the Olympic experience.”

The debrief will be held at 5.30pm next Wednesday 23 November at the ANZ Centre, 23-29 Albert Street.

This event is hosted and sponsored by ANZ – official sponsor of the New Zealand Olympic team. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

  • Tickets cost $25+gst (for PRINZ members), $45 for mon-members, and $15 for students. Get them here
