NZ agencies have enjoyed a high conversion rate at the shortlist stage of the Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Awards in Singapore, picking up 27 finalist spots (Australia has 39). DDB leads the Kiwis with nine finalists, followed by Saatchi & Saatchi (five), Colenso BBDO (four), Republik and Spark PHD (three apiece), Clemenger BBDO (two), and Twenty (one).

All up, the 108 judges – mostly senior agency heads and leading client marketers (none from NZ) – selected 289 finalists from over 1100 entries.

“The calibre of the AMES entries was outstanding this year, making for an exceptionally strong shortlist which reflects the dynamic pace of innovation in brand communications across Asia Pacific,” said festival director Andrea Hayes.

Winners will be honoured at the awards ceremony, held after the AMES Conference on the evening of Wednesday 3 June at Grand Hyatt Singapore.

Delegate registration is SG$750 (NZ$724) for access to both the conference and awards. For full information on AMES Awards & Conference or to register to attend, visit www.ames.asia.

The AMES are organised by Lions Festivals and Haymarket Media Group.
