LONDON, Today: A student creative team from Auckland’s Media Design School has won a Wood Pencil at the 2020 D&AD New Blood Awards – the only NZ entry to win a Pencil.
Conal Wilson & Hanna Grant won the Wood (equivalent to Bronze) for Penguin Shelfies. The pair were tutored at MDS by Kate Humphries & David Bell.
The judges said: “D&AD In an age when the visual image of ourselves is so often shared, a person’s bookshelf can reveal so much more about them.
“Penguin Shelfies is a virtual shelf that allows users to display their own collection of Penguin books.”
