Singapore Airlines has unveiled a new global brand campaign, Making Every Journey Personal, featuring two stunning New Zealand locations.

Singapore Airlines NZ GM Simon Turcotte, said he was proud to see two wonderful examples of New Zealand’s natural beauty included in the campaign, a decision he says reinforces Singapore Airlines’ commitment to New Zealand as a premier holiday destination.

The director is Korean-American John S Park, who is based in South Korea and works out of The Sweet Shop. He was also the director for Singapore Airlines’ previous campaign The Lengths We Go To.

The airline’s global creative agency, TBWA, conceptualised the new brand campaign. Acumen is the PR agency for Singapore Airlines in NZ, and are managing the media relations around the new brand ad.

Location shots were done in New Zealand and China, with post-production work done in Korea. The opening shots of the magical forest and cliff-side scenes were shot in Paradise Forest near Queenstown and Tunnel beach in Dunedin. The theatre scene was shot in Harbin Grand Theatre in Harbin, China. The remaining scenes were filmed in Singapore.

“To have New Zealand feature so prominently is something we’re extremely proud of. New Zealand is renowned for its vast landscapes and breathtaking scenery and is part of the attraction for people travelling to New Zealand,” Simon Turcotte said.

“The new brand campaign conveys the sense of the immersive personal journey each individual customer experiences when travelling with the airline through the world-class service provided by the famous Singapore Airlines cabin crew.

“Global agency TBWA conceptualised the campaign. Acumen is the PR agency for Singapore Airlines in NZ.”

“The campaign showcases a cabin crew member engaging with customers in their ‘dream’ worlds, before revealing their true location – on board a flight enjoying a special moment enabled by the crew’s attentive and personalised service.”

The brand campaign also provided the opportunity to feature Singapore Airlines new A380 cabin products.

The video has reached over 6.4 million views on digital channels and will be broadcast on TV to a global audience as well as screened across the country in New Zealand cinemas including Hoyts, Berkeley Cinemas and Event Cinemas from April onwards.
