Special, Tuesday Club, Flux win in London

LONDON, Wednesday: New Zealand has scored five Statues – one Gold, two Silver and two Bronze – at the London International Awards (LIA). Three of the five (the Gold, Silver & Bronze) went to Special NZ’s seminal David’s Unusables.

The Tuesday Club Auckland picked up a Silver for NRMA Insurance A Fire Inside, while Flux Animation Auckland scored a Bronze for Optus Yuleglider (a Special AU client).

The New Zealand winners were:

Special Group

  • Gold – Non-Traditional – Public Service/Social Responsibility for Motor Neurone Disease NZ David’s Unusables
  • Silver – Digital – Public Service/Social Responsibility for David’s Unusables
  • Bronze – Social Media & Influencers – Public Service/Social Responsibility for David’s Unusables 
  • Finalist – Creativity In PR – Public Service/Social Responsibility for David’s Unusables

The Tuesday Club

  • Silver – Design – Use of Photography for NRMA Insurance A Fire Inside
  • Finalist – Integration – Branded Content for NRMA Insurance A Fire Inside

Flux Animation

  • Bronze – Production & Post-Production – CGI Animation for Optus titled “Yuleglider”
  • Finalist – Production & Post-Production – CGI Animation for Disney From Our Family To Yours

LIA president Barbara Levy said: “The work from Downunder has always surpassed expectations. It is always fresh and unexpected. Well done!”

In total, 754 LIA statues and 230 finalists were awarded to 45 countries. The US led with 254 wins, followed by Germany with 81, the UK with 53 and India with 37.

Agency of the Year winners will be Announced on 8 November.
