AUCKLAND, Wednesday: NZME has appointed Katie Mills to the role of chief marketing officer. CEO Michael Boggs says Mills is not just results-oriented, but passionate about her work.
“Katie is both a high performer and a supporter of people and their growth – a winning combination of attributes and a great fit for NZME,” he said.
Mills has a strong background in brand building, vision and market strategy. She comes from Aspire2 Group where she is the group marketing director.
Mills is not new to media, having spent 15 years at MediaWorks in senior roles including head of brand & marketing, which saw her lead a team of more than 30 marketers and deliver annual marketing and brand strategies for television, radio and digital entertainment platforms.
She was also responsible for the marketing campaign for the launch of Newshub.
She commences her role in December, and will lead the brand & communications, internal communications, trade marketing and partnerships teams at NZME.
