NZME Events in partnership with Deloitte has announced details of the upcoming Deloitte Top 200, the big annual show NZME picked up when Mediaweb went under last year. This year’s show will now be held on Thursday 26 November at Vector Arena.

NZME editorial director business Fran O’Sullivan says the awards set an important benchmark in the business community for excellence and achievement.

“Year on year we see an incredibly high level of top performing businesses and worthy individuals entering into the Deloitte Top 200. Attending the annual black tie event is a great opportunity to celebrate greatness amongst your comrades and business peers.”

The Deloitte Top 200 Awards was established by former AdMedia publisher Reg Birchfied in 1990. Winners emerge from the annual listing of the 200 largest corporations based on revenue, and a separate listing of New Zealand’s Top 30 financial enterprises based on asset value.

The Top 200 was a major income earner for Mediaweb, after the event was passed down from Birchfield’s Profile Publishing and 3media in the early in 2010.

Deloitte head of marketing & communications Cassandra Worrall says Deloitte is very proud to have been associated with the Top 200 awards since its inception.

“The Top 200 continues to be the premier business awards for the larger businesses in New Zealand, representing the pinnacle of corporate recognition,” she said. “Winners and finalists make up the who’s who of the business community and together make a vital contribution to New Zealand’s economy,” says Warrall.

Tickets for the 26th annual Deloittes Top 200 are available now at www.top200.co.nz.
