Olympic dreams fuel ANZ campaign

Whybin\TBWA and ANZ have launched a new Home Loans TVC campaign leveraging the bank’s sponsorship of the New Zealand Olympic Team.

The campaign depicts the ‘Anderson’ family decked out in ANZ Olympic-like tracksuits (dog included), training day and night in the lead up to the auction for their dream home.

“Revealing their athletic-like preparations, we see charming moments between mum and daughter and dad and dog, that seem curiously out of place in their everyday domestic world,” says Whybin\TBWA ECD Christy Peacock.

“No one is pretending the Andersons are pro-athletes, but that’s where the humour comes from.

“With the current home buying market, especially in Auckland, competing for a home involves determination, focus and dedication – just like winning gold at the Olympics.”

ANZ head of brand, retail & business marketing Matthew Pickering said: “The new campaign targeting home buyers draws a playful parallel between the sporting world and the competitive nature of home buying.

“As New Zealand’s number one home loan provider, ANZ have the tools and expertise to make sure you’re ready to act when the right property comes along.”
