One Asia selects Kiwi aces for creative jury roles

BEIJING & NEW YORK, Today: Two heavyweight New Zealand creative leaders have been chosen to serve as judges for the One Asia Creative Awards 2022.

Colenso BBDO chief innovation officer Maria Devereux will sit on the Direct Marketing, Creative Effectiveness, Innovation & Integrated jury, and FCB co-ECD Peter Vegas will be part of the Film & Video, Film & Video Craft, Radio & Audio jury.

The jury includes eight Aussie creatives stars.

Entries are now being accepted, with fees increasing after each deadline period.  Regular deadline is 19 August 19, and the final deadline is 16 September 16.

Eligible countries and regions for One Asia are Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, Mainland China, East Timor, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Online judging will take place in October, with finalists announced in November. Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced in late November.

Starting this year, One Asia is now part of The One Club’s vaunted Global Creative Rankings for 2023. One Asia awards won by agencies and brands will now gain them international recognition in their own right.

The One Club’s New York-base ceo Kevin Swanepoel said: “These judges represent the vanguard of creatives, designers, and innovators across all of APAC, and they will drive the process to recognize this year’s winners.

“After expanding The One Show Greater China to the whole Asia Pacific region as One Asia last year, we now take the next step in elevating the best work in the region on the global stage.”
