AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Sydney-based PR/brand engagement agency CampaignLab has today announced it has made the leap across the ditch, launching the business in New Zealand – and appointing Sophia Berry-Smith (ex Stuff) to run it.

The move looks to capitalise on the company’s recent growth in the New Zealand market, having secured a number of new business wins including Fiji Airways and mobile camera brand Oppo NZ.

CampaignLab director Andy Scales said: This also enables CampaignLab’s current clients to take advantage of its unique approach to communications and brand engagement across both Australia and New Zealand.

“The expansion marks another milestone in CampaignLab’s history, as the company goes from strength to strength and continues to build on its reputation as ‘pound for pound’, the world’s most creative PR agency.

“We’ve been waiting for the perfect time to jump across the ditch and make our mark. There couldn’t be a better time than now, as we look to keep up the momentum and continue to grow.

“As an independent agency, our growth has come as a direct result of delivering world-class strategies, campaigns and engagement activities for clients.”

Sophia Berry-Smith joins from her previous role as head of communications at Stuff, is CampaignLab’s first appointment in New Zealand. She will lead key accounts in-market, whilst helping establish and grow the brand locally.

“Sophia Berry-Smith joins from her previous role as head of communications at Stuff.”

“Joining CampaignLab is an amazing opportunity and I am looking forward to creating a world-class team that delivers campaigns that have real impact for clients,” Berry-Smith said.

“To date, CampaignLab’s success in the Australian market has been driven by the teams’ ability to develop creative campaigns that help clients join the conversation and create genuine connections with their customers. I’m excited to bring this model to market and expect it will resonate well with brands operating in New Zealand.

“From launching Fujifilm’s very own picture-perfect island to building the world’s first travelling, 5G-powered smart hotel for Oppo, CampaignLab is a high-quality full-suite brand engagement agency.”

Whilst CampaignLab specialises in fully-integrated campaigns, it also offers a range of standalone services including PR, social, digital and content marketing, graphic design, video production and experiential.

CampaignLab New Zealand will be based in Parnell.
