AUCKLAND, Wednesday: Fuse and Special PR topped the finalists list at the 5th annual Pressie Awards today. The list also includes Drum, PR Partners, Eleven, Crave, Accenture, Acumen, Bananaworks, Chemistry, Socialites, Dentsu, HeyYou, Mango, Spark, MBM, PHD, and Whare PR.

The winners of the contest between the country’s leading PR, experiential and social professionals will be announced in two weeks.

This year’s convenor, Katharine Broughton, said: “Yesterday saw 34 of our industry’s best gather in four panels to review all the entries for this year’s awards programme. With lots of rigorous debate, the panels made their recommendations for next week’s executive judging round.

“The 2022 Pressie Awards are sponsored by Meta, NZME, RadLab, Stuff, and Telum Media.”

“We have 82 finalists across the 15 categories including five finalists in both the new categories Non-Profit and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

“We’ve had a strong response to entries this year, with outstanding work across several categories.

“The judging panels were impressed by the variety of work, which demonstrated strong insights, creative and execution. We’re looking forward to a fun and entertaining awards ceremony where we can come together in person to celebrate and shine a light on the great work of this industry.”

Organised by the Commercial Communications Council, the 2022 Pressie Awards will be held at The Annex in Wynyard Quarter on Thursday 24 November. The event will be hosted by NZME’s Kerre Woodham and DJ’d by Phoebe Falconer.
