QMS has unveiled one of its most spectacular landmark digital billboards yet – a 14-metre high monster that towers over Auckland’s QE2 Square, New Zealand’s busiest pedestrian precinct.

QMS NZ ceo, Wayne Chapman says the large volumes of pedestrian and vehicular traffic experienced at this major CBD intersection, along with the sheer scale and impact of the site itself, combine to deliver the most iconic landmark digital billboard in New Zealand to date.

Prominently positioned on the Mercure Hotel, at the intersection of Queen and Customs Streets, Downtown looms over the significant number of commuters exiting Britomart Station, the ferry terminal and downtown car parks.

“Right in the heart of Auckland’s central head office precinct, surrounded by Britomart, Auckland’s vibrant entertainment hub, and walking distance to Queen Street, Downtown offers the unique ability for advertisers to capture shoppers, CBD workers and diners alike,” Chapman said.

“The launch of this world-class digital site represents a significant milestone in QMS’ digital development programme, with 14 digital billboards currently across Auckland, Wellington & Christchurch and further launches planned before the end of 2016.”

Inaugural advertisers on Downtown include Sky TV, Coca-Cola, American Express, Sony TV, Estrella and Emirates.
