Ray White Group is holding talks with three NZ agencies as it looks to leverage its appointment of All Blacks head coach Steve Hansen as its global brand ambassador.

“We have not appointed an agency at this time,” Ray White ceo Carey Smith told M+AD this morning. “We are still feeling our way with this project, and we have met with Create Me and Augusto to consider how the appointment of Steve Hansen will be best aligned to our group.

“We are being guided by support from Philip ONeill at Saatchi Worldwide Design in Auckland.” The group’s PR adviser, Alexander PR Parnell, is also involved in the process.

Steve Hansen said (in a release): “The Ray White Group shares a defined family history built on a culture of tenure together with loyalty. The group has shown persistence and determination that has provided a long term successful formula.

“My association in sport, particularly rugby, has many of the same synergies. I have been proud to influence and mentor career paths of outstanding people, not only specialising in what they do on the sporting field, but more importantly, as part of the community.”

Carey Smith said: “The appointment of Steven Hansen is particularly exciting for our organisation. Our business has a strong strategic focus on customer satisfaction outcomes, which provide for an environment of excellence in our belief and delivery of service.

“Steve is an aspirational, ambitious and determined individual who has a high expectation placed upon himself.”
