In response to yesterday’s M+AD story about Helen Clark’s “pose” for the cover of express magazine, the former PM posted this comment on Twitter: “Have you heard of graphics? I did not pose for this”.
M+AD ed David Gapes agrees that Clark did not formally pose for the cover – the actual selection and finishing process of how the publisher selected the cover is covered in detail in the article.
“Read the story,” Gapes says. “It provides the detail of how the cover was created – the heading strikes a pose was always intended to be figurative.
“We’re surprised that Clark took the heading so literally.”
