Colenso welcomes back star creatives – just as two other big names exit

Colenso BBDO has signed the formidable creative pairing of Levi Slavin and Dan Wright direct from BBDO New York. They start in Auckland on Monday 1 May. But just as the home-bound pair board the plane at JFK, two more Colenso creatives – equally as formidable – have handed in their cards (read on).

The reurn of Slavin & Wright signals a clear desire from the agency to build on Colenso’s well established creative chops, says MD Scott Coldham.

Slavin return as chief creative officer – in his third stint at the agency since departing for NYC in 2014. White returns as a newly promoted ECD (after leaving last year to join BBDO New York as CD). They’ll both join Nick Worthington, Steve Cochran and Wayne Pick as the leaders of the agency’s creative function.


“The guys coming home is so exciting,” says Coldham. “They’ll take us to the next level. We don’t ever want to stand still as a business and these two bring a level of brilliance and experience that will certainly ensure we’re continuing to do our best work in an ever-changing landscape.


Light years?
“We’re blessed in this part of the world with our ability to make amazing work with more ease than the larger markets, but in many ways the US is light-years ahead of us – so their exposure and experience up there will definitely benefit our approach to the work.”

Farewell Simon Vicars & Andre Sallowicz
Colenso creative group head Simon Vicars and senior art director Andre Sallowicz have resigned from Colenso and are heading for London where they will takes up roles at Adam & Eve DDB.
