Showtime at AUT Ad School

AUT Ad School holds its end-of-year creative portfolio show at its midtown Auckland City campus next week – and the industry is invited.

“Come and see who’s keen to get into the promised land,” says CD/programme leader Paul White.

Doors open at 5pm at the Piko Bistro on the AUT campus at 55 Wellesley St East.

From 5.30 to 7pm it’s industry only – but from 7pm to 8pm it’s open slather.

This a different venue this year – the show’s still at AUT but this time entry is via Wellesley Street (Piko is directly on your right).

“The students left the 10 commandments of AUT Ad School outside our office door a couple of weeks ago and, well we thought, that’s the invitation sorted!”

The First Five Commandments of AUT Ad School:

  1. Thou shalt not polish turds.
  2. Thou shalt love thy tutor, and let thy tutor shit on thy work, for they know more than ye.
  3. Thou shalt only ever use puns as a last resort and even then, hate yourself for it.
  4. Thou shalt have faith in thy ideas. If not, don’t stand up and present them.
  5. No QR codes.

Paul White: “See the other five at the show.”
