Škoda moves into PR gear with appointment of Mango, joining agency partner Tribal Aotearoa

AUCKLAND, Today: Škoda, often regarded as the European car market’s best kept secret, has appointed Mango Communications Aotearoa to help tell its story to more New Zealanders.

The appointment consolidates its ties to the DDB Group where Tribal Aotearoa is Škoda’s lead creative and digital agency.

Škoda marketing manager Natalie O’Brien, says they were impressed with Mango’s credentials and approach to making the brand better known by the many New Zealanders who love European style and performance, but had not previously considered Škoda.

“Mango is providing an ongoing targeted influencer partnership and media relations programme that positions Škoda as the perfect vehicle for the contemporary explorer, with a strong focus on the brand’s new identity to reflect Kiwi customers’ evolving needs and expectations.

Mango MD Sean Brown said: “The team is thrilled to be working with Škoda.

“Like many Kiwis, we love our cars at Mango but even more we love shining the light on brands that deliver what they say they will. Škoda is one of those and we’re excited to be sharing this with our media and influencer partners.”

Tribal has been working with Škoda since early 2022, and launched the new brand positioning in October with a campaign featuring this TVC, showcasing their latest all-electric Enyaq model.

“Helping launch the brand last year was a great achievement and we are busy working with the team to further tell the brand story here, uncovering the ‘best kept secret’ in New Zealand’s car market,” said Tribal lead business partner Laura Bathurst-Adams.
