The 2017 Spikes Asia Innovation jury has selected DDB/Mango’s Rialto Breast Cancer Screenings campaign as one of 10 entries to make the category shortlist.

The festival opens this week in Singapore (on Wednesday 27 September) and the winners of all categories will be announced at its conclusion two days later, on Friday 29 September.

The 10 shortlisted entrants come from Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand.

Festival director Andrea Hayes said: “Spikes Asia has always been at the forefront of creative innovation, and the number of countries represented in the Innovation shortlist is a sign of just how widespread creativity and ingenuity is across the region.

“The Innovation category at Spikes continues to be an eye-opener for what is to come over the next few years.”

Female jurors up sharply
Spikes Asia follows the Cannes Lions trend of increased diversity and better representation on juries, with the 2017 festival achieving a new high of 40% of women on the jury, up from just 17% five years ago.

In total, Spikes Asia judges are dealing with 4301 entries from 22 countries in 20 award categories.
