AUCKLAND, Friday: The Comms Council’s Learning Webinars are back, and they’re kicking back off with a session on how to become a B Corp.

“Imagine if every business was aiming to be the best for the world, not just the best in the world?” said Comms Council ceo Simon Lendrum.

“Well, that’s what B Corps are about. They are the business that the world needs to have right now for us to have a better future for all of us and the planet.

“Built on the premise that business needs to do more than just make a profit, B Corp Certification is the world’s foremost independent verification of an organisation’s transparency and accountability when it comes to social and environmental impact.

“And that’s why B Corp is better business.

“The NZ show’s on this Wednesday. Access is free for Comms Council members; $35 non-members.”

“In this interactive and high-energy session, you will learn about the creation myth story of B Corp, what the journey to certification looks like and what the ROI can do for you and your business.

“Hosted by Tim Jones from Grow Good, an independent B Corp consultancy that helps you navigate the B Corp impact assessment, this is a session not to miss.

The NZ show’s on Wednesday 5 October (9am-10.30am). Access is free for Comms Council members; $35 non-members.”

B Corp?
The B in B Corp stands for Benefit. The full title is Benefit Corporation (B Corp). Benefit Corporations are certified by B Lab, a global non-profit organisation responsible for the standards and evaluation process. Their goal is to create sustainable businesses that create social good while remaining profitable.
