Mobile phone outfit Snakk Media has released details of a new senior signing, and its upcoming second #SnakkLive Panel in Auckland this Tuesday (September 19).

The new arrival is the company’s first CFO, Bob Mohan, who is ex Google USA and Google Australia. Mohan, who will now be based at Google HQ in Sydney, will attend SnakkLive and the company’s AGM (on the same day).

The AGM runs from 4pm, and the second annual #SnakkLive Panel follows at 6pm (until 8pm).

At Google, US-born Mohan spent the last 11 years working across the search engine giant’s corporate finance operations, including leading the merger and acquisition efforts for more than 130 acquisitions such as Android, DoubleClick and YouTube.

Mohan joined Google in the US a year before its 2004 IPO, then moved to Sydney in 2009 to lead the company’s Asia Pacific accounting team of 30 members across six regional offices.

#SnakkLive panellists include Snakk Chair Derek Handley; TVNZ CEO Kevin Kenrick; ASB Marketing GM Anna Curzon; and Flossie Founder Jenene Crossan. The Moderator is social media evangelist Vaughn Davis.

Dr Richard Windsor, a visiting global mobile & tech analyst from Dubai, will also present at the function – asking the question: How have our brains adapted to the fragmented frenzy of media channels and connected devices, and how will the next generation of consumers cope?

And AUT Professor of Marketing Roger Marshall, will discuss “some interesting research findings”.
