The Breeze has tapped Spandau Ballet and their hit song True for the network’s latest marketing campaign.

“We were extremely lucky to work with Warner Music and smoothfm Australia to land this campaign,” said The Breeze content director Ian Avery.

“The Breeze’s success – like smoothfm – is due to us playing a unique role in our audience’s busy lives, and this TVC with the endorsement from such an amazing artist as Spandau Ballet showcases the brand beautifully.”

The Breeze hosted Spandau Ballet last year for a special screening of their movie Soulboys of the Western World, and they hosted a special two-hour radio show.  Their singles regularly feature on The Breeze playlist, making the group a natural choice to front the new campaign.

Now they’re set to do it again – presenting Spandau Ballet with special guest Nik Kershaw on Sunday 10 May 10 at Auckland’s Vector Arena.

The new TVC is next in an artist driven campaign series that began with Michael Bublé Close Your Eyes, launched in August 2014.
