Special & Designworks make the finals

AUCKLAND, Today: Designworks, Special Group and Warren & Mahoney Architects lead the way at the shortlist stage of the 2019 NZ Best Design Awards.

Designworks has 24 finalists, Special Group 18, and Warren & Mahoney 16. The NZ Met Office is also a finalist for its new website, designed by Wellington/Auckland agency Alphero.


“The winners will be announced on Friday 4 October.”

The Bests cover Architecture, Graphic, Product, Interactive, Moving Image, User Experience, Value of Design, Spatial, Public Good & the Ngā Aho Award (which celebrates “Aotearoaness”).

Special Group co-founder/design ECD Heath Lowe said: “Congratulations to all of the brilliant brands we get to work with and who have been recognised over such a wide range of categories – Uber Eats, Tourism New Zealand, Karma Cola, Smirnoff, Yealands, Clinicians, Taylor Pass Honey and the Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival.”

The winners will be announced at the awards show on Friday 4 October (at a venue yet to be announced).
