The Colenso-Breast Cancer Foundation alliance delivers new product

Colenso BBDO and the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation have completed their joint project to create a cream that helps women check themselves for lumps in the breast. The product is now on sale for $11.99 at Countdown, Pak’n’Save, New World, The Warehouse, and at skinfood.co.nz.

“There are no magic ingredients,” says the foundation’s Evangelina Henderson. “Breast Cream is just a nourishing moisturiser. But applying it regularly helps you get to know your breasts, so you’ll notice any changes early and can get them checked out by your doctor.”

Around half of breast cancers are detected outside of mammogram screening, but 70% of women don’t check themselves regularly. “Women need to change this behaviour,” Henderson said.

“So rather than developing just another awareness campaign, Colenso BBDO worked with the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and natural beauty products brand Skinfood to launch Breast Cream,” said creative chairman Nick Worthington.

“Breast Cream is a product that makes breast checking a potentially life-saving new beauty routine for thousands of women, while putting the message about the importance of getting to know their breasts directly in women’s hands.”

$2 from every pack sold goes directly to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation to enable education, innovative research and support for women with breast cancer.
