AUCKLAND, Today: New Zealand Media and Entertainment’s popular radio station, The Hits, has launched an engaging brand campaign celebrating the comeback of its Cash ‘n’ Car promotion, plunging listeners into a 1980s vibe adorned with shoulder pads and power suits.

This extensive campaign showcases a television commercial, outdoor billboards, and a mix of print and digital activities, encouraging The Hits’ audience to participate for a chance to win a brand-new Škoda Karoq (priced at $46,990) and a portion of $20,000 in cash.

“We’re thrilled to reintroduce our Cash ‘n’ Car promotion in collaboration with Škoda through this innovative campaign.”

Central to the campaign is a vibrant 45-second TV commercial, the brainchild of The Hits breakfast show hosts Jono Pryor and Ben Boyce. Broadcast across television, cinema, digital, and social media platforms, the advert sets itself in a car yard, displaying The Hits’ high-energy banter and comedic essence. It stars the well-known hosts: Jono & Ben, Megan Papas, PJ Harding, and Matty McLean.

“Our latest brand campaign marks an exciting chapter for The Hits, as we engage with our audience and introduce them to our refreshed lineup of hosts. The TVC brilliantly captures the vibrant energy of The Hits while highlighting the benefits of our partnership with Škoda,” says Gemma Vovchenko, NZME’s GM Marketing.

Harriett Whiting, NZME’s GM of The Hits, adds, “We’re thrilled to reintroduce our Cash ‘n’ Car promotion in collaboration with Škoda through this innovative campaign. It’s been great to see the positive response from our listeners, and we look forward to building on this momentum in the coming months.”
