Top 10 countdown a truck-stopper

To support NZ’s biggest rock music countdown, The Rock 1000, MediaWorks has installed billboards across Auckland, including the city’s largest billboard on Fanshawe Street (pictured above).

“We’ve had great feedback on billboards around town and down the line – and none have been pinched … at this stage,” says MediaWorks Radio group marketing director Katie Mills.

The Rock 1000 is a long-standing (10 years) annual countdown on The Rock that runs over two weeks, counting down to the biggest rock song of the year.

“The level of epic grows each year, and we continue to hear stories of people taking sick days on the last day of the Countdown, work parties and even truckies stopping at the top of the Kaimai Range to make sure they hear the final Top 10,” Mills said.
