Grey Lynn indie True has won the Southern Cross Health Society brand and communications agency pitch. The incumbent was Contagion Auckland.

The pitch is understood to have involved at least two pitchers – True and 99.

“Naturally we’re thrilled to be working with the team at Southern Cross,” True MD Steve Kane, said. “The process they ran was refreshingly collaborative and transparent.”

Southern Cross chief marketing officer Chris Watney said the member-owned organisation is looking for strength in the brand space as it seeks to transition from being a health insurer to a health and wellbeing assurer.

“True demonstrated that they really understand what Southern Cross Health Society stands for and our aspirations for where we want to take the brand,” he said.
