AUCKLAND, Today: This year’s international Effies judge, Andrew Geoghegan, will speak at the annual Effectiveness Function on Thursday 10 October.
Geoghegan is the London-based global head of consumer planning at Diageo – the world’s largest premium drinks company and home to brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Smirnoff, and Tanqueray.

“Geoghegan’s keynote, which is sponsored by TVNZ, will be followed by a Q&A.”
“Andrew is passionate about marketing effectiveness and has pioneered an approach across Diageo using leading-edge data and technology called marketing catalyst,” Head says on the council’s website.
“This programme has already paid back over 15 times the initial investment and given Diageo the confidence to buck the trend for consumer goods companies in recent years and increase its marketing investment ahead of revenue growth.”
Geoghegan’s keynote, which is sponsored by TVNZ, will be followed by a Q&A. The event takes place from 5.30pm tp 7.30pm on the 10th – at a venue yet to be confirmed.
