Ogilvy’s NZ Police recruitment video Freeze continues to attract attention around the world – most recently yesterday in a global Bestads report, where a pair of up-and-coming American-based creatives named it a one of the five best new ads this week.

“There is something so charming about seeing an uptight government body, like the police, not take themselves too seriously,” wrote guest judges Laura Petruccelli and Rohan Cooke, both Aussies, now associate CDs at Goodby Silverstein & Partners San Francisco.

“In the process, the Kiwis have turned something that is normally dull and mundane into something we actually want to talk about, God forbid – even share.

“Our next challenge would be for you to make a recruitment video for … parking inspectors!”

The TVC was produced by The Sweet Shop.

On Tuesday, Adforum US also named it a top 5 global spot (link below)
