The much-discussed relationship between Colenso and VW is nearing a climax, with the parties holding confidential talks – apparently in an effort to accommodate global alliances with other agency groups that VW deals with. As of this morning, however, it appears that Colenso is still firmly in the frame.
Everybody at the agency – including PR man Paul Gunn and ceo Nick Garrett – is holding back, saying nothing. But they’ve not denied any of the speculative news stories, either.
VW national marketing manager Ben Montgomery did take M+AD’s call. He was courteous enough, but the best we could get out of him was a “no comment” and an undertaking to include us in any future statement about Colenso.
So … watch this space.
