Colenso has added a new twist to the fine art of comparative advertising by cashing in on the aura surrounding NZ’s most celebrated ad.
The Volkswagen Amarok and the Toyota Hilux are fierce competitors in the NZ marketplace, but Colenso’s new take on Saatchi’s 1999 Crumpy & Scotty masterpiece manages to dance all around its competitor and the original ad without a single mention.
The agency has played this print campaign very close to its chest – no PR release or credits list – and at press time, we’d been unable to find anybody on College Hill to talk to us.
