AUCKLAND, Tuesday: Following a pitch process, Saatchi & Saatchi and CX/CRM/data specialists Digitas have been appointed to the agency roster for Westpac, where they will join (previously appointed) Spark Foundry.
Digitas replace Track, and Westpac still has some business with DDB but Saatchi & Saatchi are picking up some of the business DDB previously had.
Publicis Groupe ANZ ceo Michael Rebelo (now based in Sydney) said: “To have three Publicis Groupe agencies working with Westpac is an excellent example of our Connected Platform offering.”
Spark Foundry was named Westpac’s media partner in November 2021.
The appointment will see Saatchi & Saatchi provide day-to-day creativity for Westpac’s retail marketing landscape, and Digitas will become the lead CRM, data and customer communication partner. It follows a recent competitive pitch.
“We were hugely impressed with the strategic thinking and customer focus Publicis brought to the table throughout the pitch process.”
Rebelo: “Together, the Publicis Groupe community will partner with Westpac’s rostered agency to create, curate and build a connected marketing ecosystem across its entire customer experience.”
Westpac CMO Suraiya Phillimore-Smith said: “We were hugely impressed with the strategic thinking and customer focus that the Publicis team brought to the table throughout the pitch process.
“The Publicis Groupe connected eco-system is an enticing proposition and a New Zealand first, that brings our customers, CX, data and performance to the fore, combined with their world class people and expertise. This will enable us to build for the future together”.
