Whybin\TBWA has launched a new ANZ Bank campaign to promote its goMoney Wallet, a service that enables customers to make contactless payments with a tap of a compatible Android smartphone.

The campaign features Seven Days regulars Ben Hurley and Steve Wrigley commentating on an everyday scene that culminates in the use of the new technology.

“Smartphones can do more and more clever things that make life easier these days – this campaign simply highlights how quick and easy it is for ANZ customers to now pay with their phone too,” says ANZ retail/business marketing head Matthew Pickering.

Whybin CD Julian Andrews said: “goMoney Wallet is one of those great pieces of technology that helps everyday life run that little bit more smoothly. The work simply dramatises this, with Ben & Steve there to add a modicum of levity.”

ANZ digital & transformation head Liz Maguire said: “ANZ is leading the move to mobile payments with the launch of goMoney Wallet.

“This is the first mobile payment app built by a bank in New Zealand, and the first Host Card Emulation (HCE) mobile payment solution in New Zealand.”

goMoney Wallet sits within ANZ’s mobile banking app, ANZ goMoney, removing the need for a separate app or SIM card upgrade.

Similar to other contactless payment options, payments can be made with a PIN-only required for transactions over $80.
