AUCKLAND, Today: Women in Media aims to shed a different light on relationship-building when the group presents its Art of Authentic Relationship Building workshop next week.

WiM co-founder Sophie Radford said they’d start by removing the ‘work’ from networking.

“Attendees will have an opportunity to learn how to build authentic professional relationships, gain a better sense of confidence on what events to attend, how to politely exit a conversation and how to reconnect/the follow up,” she said.

“Everyone knows that we get more done when we collaborate. But how do you build that network with a sense of authenticity?”

The workshop will be held at Bauer Media next Thursday 17 October from 5:30pm. Panel speakers include Louise Wright of Porter Novelli and independent consultant Fleur Skinner.
