Y&R wins big social pitch

AUCKLAND, Thursday: The Ministry of Social Development has appointed Y&R New Zealand as their agency partner for the next evolution of the Stop Family Violence It’s not OK campaign. There was a pitch (the unsuccessful agencies have not been identified). The account was previously held by FCB.

Y&R NZ officially becomes VMLY&R NZ on Monday 7 January.

MSD community partnerships manager Marama Edwardssaid: “We were looking for innovative thinking and a fresh approach to evolve our behaviour change thinking.

“The Y&R team impressed us with their deep understanding of the audience, creativity and refreshing ways of working. Reducing family violence is a priority for MSD and we are looking forward to working closely with Y&R on this important campaign.”

Y&R NZ acting MD Fleur Head said: “We love collaborating with passionate and forward-thinking clients and we feel humbled and appreciative to be trusted to partner with the great team at MSD on this important work.”

Y&R will commence work with MSD immediately.
