This Mothers Day, Lotto NZ – with a little help from their friends at DDB and The Sweet Shop – is celebrating mum by with a TVC demonstrating how the amazing things she does seem to just magically happen, yet usually go without thanks.

The 30-second spot follows a young boy’s everyday experiences with his mum at home.

“We often take for granted all that our mums do for us and we don’t say thank you enough,” says DDB ECD Shane Bradnick. “So, this Mother’s Day we’re encouraging Kiwis to celebrate their mum by giving them a little Lotto magic with a Triple Dip ticket.”

The Sweet Shop director Dylan Pharazyn said: “I loved the idea of mum’s magic in this script. The realism we used brings to life the transformation of messy to tidy, just as a child might imagine.

“It’s a warm and genuine thanks to mums for all the work they do that goes unnoticed.”

The Magic went live on Sunday 30 April.
