New Zealand’s premier international showcase for contemporary art, the Auckland Art Fair returns in 2018 to showcase interesting art from the Pacific Rim – at The Cloud on Auckland’s Queen’s Wharf from Wednesday 23 May to Sunday the 27th.
No ad agencies are involved in the project – wih strategic partnerships coordinated by the Auckland Art Fair team. But a professional PR outfit – Campbell+Co – are handling comms duties.
The AAF will have NZ art at its core – but will also feature extensive galleries and artists from Australia, South-East Asia, the west coasts of North and South America and the Pacific Islands.
The AAF relaunched in 2016, bringing in around NZ$5 million of sales for the 40 participating galleries, and showed to 9000+ people over five days.
AAF co-directors Stephanie Post and Hayley White are looking forward to achieving even more in 2018.
“As we build the reputation of the Fair both locally and in the wider region, we are receiving increasing interest from galleries and important collectors and curators, from near and far to attend”, Post said.
A highlight of the space will be work from university students in Australia and New Zealand.
