Arrivals & Departures: Barry Williamson joins Marsden Inch

AUCKLAND, Today: Leading comms sector recruiters Marsden Inch have announced that industry stalwart Barry Williamson is joining their business as an associate, and will continue to specialise in media placements across agency, media owner and client-side roles. Previously, Williamson was a consultant at recruiter 3rdeye.

Williamson said: “I’m excited to be joining Marsden Inch as they continue to grow, broaden their offering, and strengthen their position as New Zealand’s pre-eminent marcoms and advertising sector recruiters.”

Williamson has a distinguished career in advertising consultancy activity with clients, agencies, media owners and research companies. He has been recognised by the industry for numerous contributions to CAANZ (now Comms Council), including his work on the Media Committee and for establishing and conducting the original CAANZ Media School.

He is currently chairperson of the Industry Research Group that oversees the Nielsen CMI media research service. In addition to senior media and management roles, he has worked as an account director and marketing manager, managing a wide range of brand categories in integrated agencies, gaining a strong marketing bias to his work.
