AUCKLAND, Today: Bastion has appointed Joanna Barnes as Executive Media Director, strengthening its fast-growing media offering during a busy period for the agency.
Barnes joins in the first year of Bastion’s media capability, which launched in July and has already picked up momentum with recent wins including Raw C and Geely.
Bastion’s model brings together media, marketing and communications expertise to give clients an end-to-end solution built around commercial outcomes.
Anna Cherry, Managing Director Australasia, Media at Bastion, says Barnes joins at a key stage of growth.
“Jo joins us at an incredibly exciting moment. In less than a year, we’ve built a media proposition that is already delivering meaningful commercial impact for clients, as seen through recent wins like Raw C and Geely. Jo’s ability to unlock new revenue and growth opportunities will be instrumental as we continue to scale, putting our clients in a position of strength.”
”Bastion has built something genuinely differentiated in market in a very short period of time. The integrated consultancy offering, combined with a clear focus on outcomes, creates real opportunity for clients.” – Joanna Barnes, Executive Media Director, Bastion
Barnes says Bastion’s integrated model and fast pace made the opportunity hard to resist. “Bastion has built something genuinely differentiated in market in a very short period of time.
“The integrated consultancy offering, combined with a clear focus on outcomes, creates real opportunity for clients.
I’m excited to join at this stage of growth, the collaboration and speed at which decisions are made is energising and puts our clients and ourselves in a position of strength. The team here are fantastic and being able to work with Anna and Cheuk again is a real highlight – The possibilities are endless.”
The appointment follows the recent arrival of Alicia Tutty as Media Partner in Wellington. It also comes during a wider growth phase for Bastion, including new business momentum, capability launches and senior hires across Australia and internationally.
As Australasia’s largest independent marketing and communications agency, Bastion says it combines the scale and capability of a global network with the agility of an independent.
