AUCKLAND, Thursday: There are 850,000+ pet dogs in New Zealand but despite this, finding an affordable and effective flea treatment has been hard to come by. CBD-based creative indie agency Charm has designed a campaign – for Simparica Trio by Zoetis.

Simparica Trio by Zoetis is a flea treat loved by dogs of all breeds and has an added worm remedy completing the triple protection formula to treat fleas, ticks and now worms.

Worming treatments are also a low-engagement purchase and the easier it is to administer the better.

The product is being promoted through a series of content including a tvc, social media content and instore POS.

The content brings to life a trio of hero dogs named Frieda, Bandit and Tane, and provides a glimpse into a day in the lives of these beloved dogs and their owners.

Frieda is a New Zealand K9 medical detection dog, Bandit spends his time as a USAR search dog and Tane is a blind low vision guide dog.

Zoetis NZ marketing manager Geoff Langford said: “Bringing together the dogs, owners and their stories has been a privilege for our team.

“The development of this new treatment formula is made all the sweeter when you know it makes the lives of dogs like Freida, Bandit and Tane more comfortable.”

“The development of this new treatment formula is made all the sweeter when you know it makes the lives of dogs like Freida, Bandit and Tane more comfortable.

“While the dogs are our priority, we also look to make their owners’ lives easier too.

“I think we have made this sentiment clear by partnering with the team at Charm to tell the stories of these indispensable dogs, who are clearly doing great things for New Zealanders.”

Charm’s Jo Tacon said: “The brief to us was clear – we needed to showcase how our dogs are everyday heroes, and how their heroic acts, whether they’re big or small, should be on show for this dog loving nation.

“We also wanted to connect the release of a formula that treats a trio of concerns with a trio of dogs and their different stories.

“The emotive nature of the content is set to resonate with Kiwis and ensure they recognise, ask for or search Simparica Trio when their dogs are due to be treated.”

Simparica Trio is available in singles and three packs and is the only treatment on the market that has three active ingredients.

The Simparica Trio tvc and supporting content will be live from this Sunday 4 December.
