Apart from two golds for Japan, all winners announced so far at the Epica Awards in Paris – which bills itself as a global creative show – have come from Europe, Russia and Turkey. Nothing for NZ, Australia, the rest of Asia, and Latin America.

However, with six categories yet to be announced (including Film and Print), The Sweet Shop Australasia is still in with a chance, having made the finals in Film for Boy Raised by Goats (in the Best Use of Music sub-category) for indigestion remedy Pepto-Bismol (agency Publicis Kaplan Thaler New York).

Epica is judged by votes from global marketing journalists, including M+AD ed David Gapes.

The UK has the most golds so far (8), followed by the US, Germany, Turkey and France (3 each), Japan, Spain, Italy (2), and one for Russia.

Full results, including silver and bronze winners, will be announced in two days.
