AUCKLAND, Today: Award-winning Kiwi director James Anderson has joined the Fish&Clips Ponsonby roster, bringing years of experience across all stages of the television industry.

Fish&Clips head of content Rachael Blampied said: “James has always had a nose for a great idea, having been a key creative force behind a raft of highly successful NZ TV shows – taking Kiwi music to the world with Making Tracks, revolutionising fast food with The Food Truck, and putting a new spotlight on stand-up with A Night at The Classic.

“His most recent focus has been in commercials – in particular working with the ABs and their key sponsors adidas and AIG.

“Along the way, he’s also picked up a Cannes Bronze Lion, and Silver & Gold Axis Awards.”

“James’ sports work has spanned the globe, having also worked with the New York Red Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, and is currently filming with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“He’s also worked with international brands such as H&M, Volcom, Gatorade, Red Bull, Hyundai, and Tourism NZ.”

His recent TVNZ mini documentary series, The Unortho_docs, following the journeys of Kiwis trying to create their own version of the American dream, picked up three gongs at the 2019 NZ TV Awards.

Along the way, he’s also picked up a Cannes Bronze Lion, Silver & Gold Axis Awards, a TV Guide ‘Best on The Box’ and a Metro Magazine Award.

“Fish is stoked to welcome James to the whanau, and we look forward to adding his quirky sense of humour, wealth of experience and talent to our waters,” Blampied said.
