The first round of finalists have been announced for the 2016 Clio Awards – and they include two kiwi agencies. Y&R NZ has been shortlisted in Integrated Campaigns for Burger King “McWhopper” and Colenso BBDO has been shortlisted in Ambient for DB Breweries “Brewtroleum”.
M+AD reported just last week that both campaigns were on the road to better things.
After “McWhopper” and “Brewtroleum” won Gunn Bullets, Donald Gunn, founder of The Gunn Report predicted: “nearly all of these 32 new ‘Bullets’ which have already achieved creative success, will go on to win in the regional and national Effie Shows of late 2016 and spring 2017.”
Finalists in the remaining Clio categories will be announced over the next couple of days.
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced on September 12. Select Gold winners will be elevated to Grands and presented on stage during the event in New York on September 28th. Grand winners will not be announced until the night of the event.
