For the fourth time in five years, Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the media services division of Omnicom Group, topped the list of media agency holding-company winners at the Cannes Lions, with its  agencies OMD and PHD taking home a total of 15 Media Lions.

“Cannes Lions should follow the example set by the Oscars, and have its own Razzies – awards for the world’s worst marketing and creative work,” said Airbnb’s marketing chief Jonathan Mildenhall, drawing rapturous applause during a panel discussion at the Cannes Lions last week, moderated by Alexandra Suich, technology editor at The Economist.

Special Group’s 2degrees Play The Bridge has continued its good form in Cannes – seen earlier in the year at Axis, Webbys, AWARD and the One Show, taking out one of the last awards of the festival – a Bronze Lion in the Entertainment Music Lions category on Saturday.

DDB has finished its Westpac The People’s Chopper campaign, with more than 1000 people uploading their Facebook Profile pictures. The unique entry mechanic was designed to reward generous Kiwis. The chopper was skinned earlier this month and was on display at Fieldays.
