New Zealand Media & Entertainment (NZME) was named NZ’s best newspaper printer in 2014, taking out the annual Newspaper Coldest Process prize over the weekend at the Pride In Print Awards at Wellington’s TSB Arena.

A crowd of almost 600 people witnessed NZME’s Ellerslie press site bestowed with the award in recognition of its production of the NZ Herald’s inserted food magazine Bite (read more about the awards, including details of all the winners, here).

NZME claimed six of the 12 Newspaper Gold Medals awarded for production of its own titles Weekend Herald and Bite, as well as Fairfax Media’s Manukau Courier, and external titles Chinese Herald, Bay News and The Vision Times.

“It is a fantastic achievement for NZME Ellerslie,” said NZME print & production group manager Dan Blackbourn.
