RIP QEII

LONDON, Today: The late Queen Elizabeth II always enjoyed a courteous, friendly and fruitful relationship with the media – as this charming interaction (scroll down for the link) between HRH and Paddington bears testament.

Just this year, the BBC released the two-and-a-half-minute clip where Paddington sits down to have tea with the Queen and they share an appreciation for marmalade sandwiches.

The broadcast integration was slick.

“She was a star. We’ll miss her.”

This isn’t the first time this technique has been used – it was first executed for the 2012 Olympics where a mix of broadcast and live-event staging made it appear as if The Queen had parachuted into the Olympic Stadium with James Bond.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said the Queen was an incredible woman who continued working right until the end. “She has been such a constant in our lives,” Ardern said.

The M+AD team said: “RIP, Liz. You were a star. We’ll miss you.”
