In yesterday’s coverage of Colenso and Special’s achievements in Australia’s B&T Awards, M+AD missed Special’s Australasian Branding & Design Agency of the Year win for an entry that spanned both the Auckland and Sydney offices.
We did get the news of Colenso BBDO’s Amnesty Unblocker winning Best Digital Campaign (a biggie), and we did get Special Group Sydney;s Emerging Agency of the Year.
Our only defence is that the B&T Awards list was lengthy and delivered in a smallish typeface.
The incomplete report also gave us time to get a decent follow-up quote from Special Group’s Auckland-based CD/partner Tony Bradbourne: “Winning the Emerging Agency of the Year title makes it a hat trick of all of the Agency of the Year award shows – having previously won the Adnews title and the Mumbrella title a couple of months earlier.”
