Independent agencies have dominated the 2015 Mumbrella Awards winners in Sydney on Friday night with Match Media and The Monkeys taking out the Media Agency and Creative Agency of the Year awards respectively. The Mumbrellas are very Aussie-centric – nevertheless, two gongs also found their way into NZ hands, and many others went to companies with strong NZ connections.

SKY TV has won six Golds and a Bronze at the Promax BDA NZ Awards (which honour TV promo creativity in NZ) in Auckland. MediaWorks won three Golds and three Silvers, followed by TVNZ Blacksand (1 Gold, 3 Silver), Maori TV (one Gold, four Silver), Prime TV (two Silvers) and Brandspank (a Silver).
NZ strikes multiple Gold at AMES
NZ agencies picked up six Golds at the Asian Marketing Effectiveness & Strategy Awards in Singapore overnight. Saatchi & Saatchi and Auckland indie Republik covered themselves in glory with two Golds apiece. The other two Golds went to DDB and Colenso.
